2017 Jaguar XE To Debut at 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show

LOS ANGELES — The U.S.-spec version of the all-new 2017 Jaguar XE sport sedan will make its global debut next week at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, one of three key vehicle introductions for Jaguar Land Rover.

The Jaguar XE will arrive at Jaguar dealerships in late spring, priced at $35,895, including a $995 destination charge. Key rivals include the Audi A4/S4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

The XE launched in global markets for the 2016 model year, but debuts in L.A. with updated 2017 features for the American market.

Jaguar will kick off the Jaguar Art of Performance Tour, a nationwide Jaguar XE consumer test-drive tour, on November 18 in Hollywood, California, in a bid to win millennial shoppers.

The tour offers prospective buyers the chance to test-drive the Jaguar XE six months before it goes on sale.

The XE is an important vehicle for luxury car shoppers who are concerned about fuel economy, since it will be the first Jaguar in the U.S. to offer a diesel engine.

The lineup will include the Jaguar XE 20d model powered by the automaker's new Ingenium 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that delivers 180 horsepower and 318 pound-feet of torque.

The 2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible will make its global auto debut at the L.A. show, while the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace SUV rolls out before the North American audience for the first time.

Edmunds says: The Jaguar Land Rover brand will flex some major muscle at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, giving car shoppers a look at three important new vehicles.
