GENEVA — The new 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR coupe and convertible will go on sale at Jaguar dealerships this summer, priced at $126,945 and $129,795, respectively. The F-Type SVR makes its global debut at the 2016 Geneva Auto Show in March.
Pricing includes a $995 destination charge.
In comparison, the base 2017 Jaguar F-Type coupe is priced at $62,395, including shipping.
Jaguar dealers are taking orders now for the F-Type SVR, which is equipped with a 575-horsepower 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine and a standard titanium exhaust system. The engine is linked to an eight-speed ZF Quickshift transmission.
Options include a Carbon Ceramic Matrix brake system, carbon-fiber roof panel and carbon fiber pack.
The upgraded chassis features new dampers and antiroll bars, wider tires and lightweight 20-inch forged wheels.
The cabin is equipped with unique SVR seats, SVR steering wheel and anodized aluminum paddle shifters.
The F-Type SVR is lighter, quicker and more powerful than the F-Type R, according to the automaker.
It is the first Jaguar to wear the SVR badge and is a product of the automaker's Special Vehicle Operations, a new division that builds high-specification, limited-edition models.
The SVR cars offer luxury shoppers more choices in the form of small-series, upgraded versions of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.
Edmunds says: Luxury shoppers who desire Jaguar's fastest and most powerful production road car will want to check out the new F-Type SVR.
