The "not-quite-a-signature-feature-yet" kink at the C-pillar is as aggressive as it was on the concept, as are the vents behind the front wheels. Its headlights and taillights are as squinty and mean as we've ever seen on a production car in the best kind of way.
Of course, it's no good looking fast if you can't back it up. In that arena, the 2017 Q60 doesn't disappoint either. It's powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that will produce either 300 or 400 horsepower depending on the trim.
For those more interested in fuel efficiency, there's also a 2.0-liter four-cylinder available that churns out 208 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque. Official numbers aren't out, but Infiniti's claiming 24 mpg for the four-cylinder, 23 mpg for the 300-hp V6 and 22 mpg for the 400-hp V6.
All of the engines will use a seven-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, and Infiniti's "Intelligent All-Wheel Drive" is offered as an option. It sends power to the rear wheels during normal driving, but can split power as much as 50:50 when conditions require.
Like the exterior, the interior of the Q60 largely stayed true to the concept. Everything is slightly driver-centric without sequestering the passenger in their own time zone. Two large infotainment screens dominate the center console, while the instrument panel is dotted with simple white-on-black dials.
Edmunds says: Infiniti delivered on the promise of the Q60 concept it showed last year when it comes to styling and features. Now the only thing left is to see if it delivers from behind the wheel.
