The price includes a $905 destination charge and reflects a significant drop compared to the outgoing Q60, which was priced at $41,855, including shipping.
The base 2017 Q60 is equipped with a new turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder that delivers 208 horsepower. The engine is linked to a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Standard features on the base Q60 include LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, Bluetooth and a rearview monitor.
The midrange 2017 Q60 Premium starts at $42,205, including shipping. It features the same engine as the base model and adds such items as a power moonroof.
The 2017 Q60 3.0t Premium with all-wheel drive and a 300-hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine is priced at $47,205, including shipping.
Infiniti will add a 2017 Q60 Red Sport 400 as the top-of-the-line model later in the model year. It will feature the V6 engine tuned to 400 hp. Pricing will be announced at a later date.
Edmunds says: Infiniti is able to hit the under-$40,000 sweet spot with 2017 Q60 pricing, thanks to the new base four-cylinder engine.
