HONG KONG — The first official photo of the 2017 Infiniti Q30, an all-new luxury crossover designed to appeal to younger buyers, was released by Infiniti on Tuesday. The Q30 will make its formal debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The Infiniti Q30 will arrive at U.S. Infiniti dealerships in the first half of 2016.
Pricing has not been announced, but car shoppers can expect it to come in around $30,000-$32,000.
The new Infiniti crossover is designed to span several segments, including coupe, hatchback and crossover.
The photo shows a dramatically sculpted vehicle with a long hood, angular roof line and crisp creases along the sides.
"Featuring Infiniti's iconic design language, the all-new Q30 represents a category-breaking vehicle concept developed for customers seeking urban individuality," Infiniti said in a statement. "Its dynamic drive characteristics provide for Infiniti-typical confident and responsive performance as well as excellent ride and handling. Crafted trims and expressive interiors extend the striking design approach from the exterior into the passenger cabin."
According to widespread media speculation, the Q30 will get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the Mercedes portfolio. But Infiniti will not confirm any powertrain specifications at this point.
More details and technical specifications will be released later.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers making plans for next spring may want to add the eye-catching Infiniti Q30 to their lists.
