2017 Honda Ridgeline Production Kicks Off in Alabama


LINCOLN, Alabama — Mass production of the  2017 Honda Ridgeline midsize pickup truck began on Thursday at Honda Manufacturing Alabama, with vehicles slated to arrive soon at Honda dealerships.

"The Ridgeline returns with new features that will deliver even more of what today's truck customers want and need," said Jeff Tomko, president of Honda Manufacturing Alabama, in a statement.

Pricing on the Ridgeline has not been announced.

The latest version of the Ridgeline will feature a crossover-like ride and pickup utility, including an innovative bed and "trunk" design.

The new Ridgeline is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Key competitors include the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Toyota Tacoma.

Edmunds says: The 2017 Ridgeline will be in dealers' hands soon, which is good news for truck buyers who want to get a closer look at this newcomer.
