2017 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang Bound for Dealerships This June

DEARBORN, Michigan — The 2017 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang coupe will go on sale at Ford dealerships this June, with an emphasis on more standard features.

The Track package is now standard for the new model year. It includes an aluminum tower-to-tower brace, high-downforce deck lid spoiler, a MagneRide damping system and engine oil, transmission and differential coolers.

"No longer do buyers have to choose between the Track package and additional features," Ford said in a statement on Wednesday.

The addition gives the Shelby GT350 Mustang more traction against such rivals as the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

Ford has not announced 2017 Mustang pricing.

Three new colors are available on the 2017 Shelby GT350 Mustang. They are Ruby Red Metallic, Lightning Blue and Grabber Blue.

New options packages include an Electronics package and a Convenience package.

The Electronics package includes Sync 3, a voice-activated navigation system and a nine-speaker audio system.

The Convenience package includes the same options and replaces manual Recaro seats with leather-trimmed power sport seats.

Edmunds says: The Shelby GT350 Mustang will rev up showrooms this summer with several changes requested by customers.
