2017 Buick Cascada Earns 5-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government


WASHINGTON — The 2017 Buick Cascada convertible earned the highest five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Cascada received four stars in the front crash test, five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the rollover crash test. It is expected to arrive soon at Buick dealerships.

Standard safety equipment includes antilock brakes, stability control, traction control, a rearview camera and six airbags.

Optional safety equipment includes forward collision alert and lane departure warning.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2017 Cascada.

Key Cascada competitors include the Audi A3 convertible, BMW 2 Series convertible and Porsche 718 Boxster.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers keeping score should note that the NHTSA has not rated the 2017 Audi A3 convertible, BMW 2 Series convertible and Porsche 718 Boxster.
