WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey — The 2017 BMW X6 luxury SUV is on the way to BMW dealerships with a starting price of $62,395, including a $995 destination charge.

The pricing for the base 2017 X6 sDrive35i reflects an $800 increase over the base 2016 X6.

The midrange 2017 X6 xDrive35i starts at $64,695, including shipping.

The top-of-the-line 2017 X6 xDrive50i is priced at $77,095, including shipping.

This is a carryover vehicle with minimal changes for the new model year. The navigation system is updated to iDrive 5.0 and there is a new standard wheel design. The Anthracite headliner is now standard.

The Premium package is now enhanced with wireless charging and a Wi-Fi hotspot on 35i models.

Atlas Cedar Metallic exterior paint replaces Mineral Silver Metallic.

The X6 is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Key competitors include the Porsche Cayenne and Land Rover Range Rover Sport.
