WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey — The all-new 2017 BMW Alpina B7, the high-performance version of the BMW 7 Series flagship sedan, is priced at $137,995, including a $995 destination charge, BMW of North America announced on Monday.
Standard equipment includes integral active steering, Display Key, panorama moonroof, wireless charging with Wi-Fi hotspot, gesture control, power side-window shades and front massage seats.
Integral Active steering combines a variable-ratio electric steering system at the front axle with active steering on the rear axle. This provides increased agility at low speeds and maximum directional stability at higher speeds.
Signature Alpina styling cues include multi-spoke wheels, front and rear spoilers and exclusive paint finishes in Alpina Blue metallic and Alpina green metallic.
A new-generation 4.4-liter V8 engine with twin-turbocharging delivers 600 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque in the Alpina B7. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with a Manual mode.
The Alpina B7 is expected to arrive soon at BMW dealerships.
Edmunds says: Interested luxury buyers should get in line for the Alpina B7 now, since production capacity may be limited.
