WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey — The 2017 BMW "30 Jahre M3," a limited-edition performance sedan that marks the 30th anniversary of the BMW M3, is on sale now at select U.S. BMW dealerships. "Jahre" means "years" in German.
Prices start at $84,245 for the model with a six-speed manual transmission. The BMW "30 Jahre M3" with the optional seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission is priced at $87,145. Prices include a $995 destination charge.
In comparison, the base 2017 M3 starts at $64,995, including destination fees.
The BMW "30 Jahre M3" is equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine with the Competition package. It churns out 444 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.
Also included in the Competition package is the Adaptive M suspension, with three modes. They are Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
Other details include an exclusive Macao Blue metallic exterior paint, a full leather interior with M sports seats and a sports exhaust system with black chrome tailpipes.
All U.S. models are equipped with the Driver Assistance Plus package, which bundles active blind-spot detection, active-driving assistance, side and top view cameras and speed-limit information.
Buyers also can check the box for the Executive package, which adds a head-up display, heated steering wheel, rearview camera, heated rear seats, park-distance control and wireless charging.
