TORRANCE, California — The carryover 2017 Acura RDX compact luxury SUV will go on sale at Acura dealerships on March 10, priced at $36,310. Pricing includes a $940 destination charge.

American Honda Motor Co. said 2017 RDX pricing is unchanged from the 2016 model.

The top-of-the-line 2017 RDX with all-wheel drive and an Advance package starts at $44,460, including shipping. It includes machined alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, front foglights, remote engine start, front and rear parking sensors, ventilated front seats and an auto-dimming driver's side mirror.

New for 2017 are two exterior colors. They are Lunar Silver Metallic and Modern Steel Metallic. An Ebony interior is optional with the White Diamond Pearl Exterior.

All versions of the RDX are equipped with a 279-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission.

Key RDX competitors include the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Cadillac SRX and Lexus RX 350.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers will appreciate the pricing strategy on the 2017 RDX, which is a popular choice in this crowded segment.
