TORRANCE, California — The redesigned 2016 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, featuring a more aggressive look with chiseled design cues drawn from the Toyota Tundra pickup and Toyota 4Runner SUV, was unveiled ahead of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
No details about the Tacoma have been revealed at this point. The images released by Toyota show a high-end 4x4 Double Cab version. An entry-level Tacoma Access Cab is expected to be in the lineup as well.
The first look at the Tacoma reveals a new grille, headlights, taillights and tailgate. No interior images were shown.
The 2015 Detroit Auto Show is shaping up as a major event for truck buyers. Also set to debut are the 2016 Nissan Titan pickup truck, which targets the Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra, along with the 2015 F-150 SVT Raptor.
Car shoppers will get a detailed look at the 2016 Toyota Tacoma as it's unveiled here on Monday.
