The 2016 Camry and Corolla Special Editions will arrive at Toyota dealerships later this year.
Production of the Camry Special Edition will be limited to approximately 12,000 units and will run from August 2015 to January 2016. Pricing has not been announced.
The special Camry is aimed at car shoppers seeking "an extra dose of both aggressiveness and technology," Toyota said in a statement on Thursday.
Details include unique 18-inch alloy wheels, a power moonroof, smoked taillights, sport-meter cluster, Qi wireless charging and Entune Audio Plus. The limited-edition Camry comes in two exterior colors: Blizzard Pearl and new Blue Streak Metallic.
The Camry has been the best-selling car in the U.S. for the past 13 years.
The 2016 Corolla Special Edition is based on the Corolla S Plus model and adds unique 17-inch alloy wheels, a black interior with red contrast stitching and a smart key system with push-button start. It is available in three exterior colors: Absolutely Red, Black Sand Pearl and Super White.
Toyota will build 8,000 units of the limited-edition Corolla from August to December 2015. Pricing has not been announced.
Edmunds says: The Toyota Camry and Corolla are among the hottest mainstream cars on the market. More and more automakers are rolling out these special editions to help personalize vehicles and set them apart from the pack.
