2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn Convertible To Arrive at Dealerships in Early 2016

LOS ANGELES — The 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn, a new convertible that is expected to be based on the Rolls-Royce Wraith coupe, will arrive at Rolls-Royce dealerships in the first quarter of 2016.

Rolls-Royce dealers got the first look at the car during a Los Angeles dealer conference on Tuesday.

Pricing and technical specifications were not disclosed.

"Our new Rolls-Royce Dawn promises a striking, seductive encounter like no other Rolls-Royce to date," said Torsten Muller-Otvos, Rolls-Royce CEO, in a statement. "It will be the most social of super-luxury motor cars for those beautiful people who wish to bathe in the sunlight of the world's social hotspots."

Prospective buyers may cross-shop such luxury convertibles as the Bentley Continental GT Speed and the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante.

The new Rolls-Royce convertible is inspired by a limited-edition model sold from 1950-'54. The original Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn was the first Rolls-Royce to be offered with a factory-built body, the automaker noted.

Edmunds says: It's not too early for the beautiful people to check in with dealers and begin the conversation about this beguiling new convertible.
