The 2016 Pathfinder received four stars in the front crash test, five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the rollover crash test. The rating applies to front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions of the Pathfinder.
It arrives at Nissan dealerships in December.
This is a carryover vehicle with minimal changes for the new model year. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, antilock brakes, electronic stability control and traction control.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers keeping score should note that the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse and 2016 Honda Pilot also received the highest five-star safety rating from NHTSA. The 2016 Ford Explorer has not been rated.
