DETROIT — Consumers in the market for a new car, truck or SUV can warm up to some end-of-summer deals this month that include special pricing on models like the 2016 Nissan Altima sedan and the 2016 Ram 1500 pickup.
Smart buyers know there are deals to be had at local dealerships all year, but late summer can provide especially good bargains as manufacturers and dealers try to clear space for incoming new models in the fall.
For example, the Acura Summer of Performance Event features 36-month leases on a 2016 Acura TLX sedan for $299 per month with $2,499 total due at signing, and a 2016 MDX SUV for $409 per month with $3,499 total due at signing.
With the Summer of Audi Sales Event, shoppers can take advantage of cash bonus offers on select models, including $1,250 on a 2016 Audi A3 sedan, $1,500 on a 2016 A6 sedan, $5,000 on a 2016 A8 sedan or $500 on a 2016 Q5 SUV.
Kia's Top Quality Sales Event advertises zero percent financing for up to 66 months, plus as much as $1,000 in bonus cash, for buyers of such models as the 2016 Kia Soul subcompact, the 2016 Forte compact and the 2016 Optima and Optima Hybrid sedans.
Nissan is promoting its Bottom Line Summer Event, which features deals such as zero percent financing for up to 72 months, plus additional savings or bonus cash, on models that include the 2016 Nissan Altima sedan, 2016 370Z coupe, 2016 Murano SUV and the 2016 Leaf electric car.
Shoppers in the market for a new truck might want to check out the Ram Summer Clearance Event for bargains that include zero percent financing for up to72 months, plus a $6,260 package value discount, on a 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4x2.
The Toyota Annual Clearance Event offers such deals as zero percent financing for up to 72 months on a 2016 Toyota Corolla sedan, zero percent financing for up to 60 months on a 2016 Camry sedan and zero percent financing for up to 60 months on a 2016 RAV4 SUV.
Volkswagen is running its Model Year End Event with offers such as zero percent financing for 60 months on such vehicles as the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta and Passat sedans, Tiguan SUV and the Golf SportWagen.
Note that most of these deals are limited-time offers, some apply only to the oldest vehicles currently in stock, and some are available only to existing customers or new customers. Also, offers can vary according to geographic area, trim level of the vehicle, the customer's credit rating and specific lease or financing terms.
