The opulent sedan arrives at Mercedes-Benz dealerships in April. The ultra-premium, extended-length Mercedes-Maybach S600 revives the dormant Maybach name and is the new top-of-the-line S-Class model. It debuted at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
In comparison, the base 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550 starts at $95,325, including a $925 destination charge.
Standard equipment on the Mercedes-Maybach S600 includes a driver assistance package, LED Intelligent Lighting System and Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System.
An executive rear-seat package and rear-seat entertainment system are also standard features.
The Maybach is equipped with a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that delivers 523 horsepower. It is linked to a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Edmunds says: The 2016 Mercedes-Maybach comes in just under some of its key competitors, something that should put a smile on the face of prospective buyers — and their chauffeurs.
