WASHINGTON — Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling 100 2016 Mercedes-Benz SLK300, SLK350, SL400, SL550 and SL63 AMG cars for a headlight problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
"The affected vehicles are equipped with low-beam headlights that may have been aimed incorrectly during vehicle production," NHTSA said in its recall summary. "Improperly adjusted low-beam headlights may reduce the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash."
Parent company Daimler AG told federal safety regulators it "believes this issue has no effect on roadway safety," but is recalling the cars to comply with federal safety standards.
The affected cars were built from June 29, 2015 through July 13, 2015.
Edmunds says: A quick visit to your Mercedes-Benz dealer will resolve this concern if you own one of these cars.
