2016 Mazda CX-5 Set for Chauffeur Duty at SXSW

AUSTIN, Texas Attendees of the South by Southwest festival can check out the refreshed 2016 Mazda CX-5 compact SUV, courtesy of the complimentary Mazda Express.

Mazda Express is offering free rides to festival-goers as they hit all of the event's hot spots. Other vehicles available for chauffeur duty include the 2016 Mazda 6 midsize sedan and 2015 Mazda 3 compact sedan and hatchback.

The program runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 13-21 and is a convenient way to get a "backseat" test-drive, according to the automaker.

The five-passenger 2016 Mazda CX-5 compact SUV is spruced up with a redesigned front grille, new 19-inch aluminum wheel designs and extensive upgrades in the cabin. It competes with the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

The CX-5 is on sale now at Mazda dealerships.

Mazda North American Operations is the official automobile sponsor of South by Southwest, which highlights original music, independent films and emerging technologies.

Edmunds says: A great two-fer from Mazda that bundles a free ride with an informal test-drive. See your local Mazda dealer if you want to get behind the wheel.
