WASHINGTON — Maserati North America is recalling 135 2016 Maserati GranTurismo coupe and GranTurismo convertible vehicles to fix a latch problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
"The affected vehicles were built with passenger-side door-latch components that were not heat treated," said NHTSA in its recall summary.
In the event of a crash, the door latch "may fail," NHTSA said.
Maserati told federal safety regulators there are no field reports or warranty claims linked to the recall.
The affected cars were built from June 24, 2015 to September 2, 2015.
Edmund says: It's time to make a service appointment with your Maserati dealer if you own one of these cars.
