So far, the new series of ads is garnering attention because McConaughey shaves, dresses, plays cards and listens to jazz, but does not speak.
"What appeals to me about this new series of ads is that while the overall Lincoln message remains consistent, the way it is delivered continues to evolve," McConaughey said in a statement. "It's exciting to have the freedom to explore and create new narratives."
The 2016 MKX arrives at Lincoln dealerships this fall.
The ads will be seen on college football games on ABC and NFL games on CBS and Fox.
