The upgraded Evoque, a favorite of style-conscious SUV shoppers, features full LED adaptive headlights, a new engine lineup and cabin upgrades, the automaker said on Sunday.
Exterior changes include a new front bumper, two new grille designs and three new alloy wheel designs.
Cabin revisions include new seats and door casings, a new infotainment system and the introduction of new color and materials, including Lunar Ice, Vintage Tan and Dark Cherry. Dark Cherry is available on the Autobiography model only.
"Our challenge has been to evolve the Range Rover Evoque design without diluting its distinctive character," said Gerry McGovern, Land Rover design director and chief creative officer, in a statement.
It is the first model from Jaguar Land Rover to be offered with full LED adaptive headlights. This feature provides additional visibility at night.
The 2016 Evoque puts a premium on tech features. They include Gesture Tailgate, a new hands-free tailgate that allows users to open and close the tailgate by pointing a foot beneath the rear bumper, and a Driver Drowsing Monitor. This feature monitors steering inputs and sounds audible and visual alarms when drowsiness is detected.
Pricing has not been announced on the 2016 Evoque.
Edmunds says: The thoughtful and fashion-forward changes to the 2016 Evoque should be a hit with discerning SUV shoppers.
