Previously, car shoppers only were able to study renderings of the Optima. A single photo of the 2016 Optima SX shows a sleek redesign with a tiger-nose grille.
"Available with multiple engine choices, the all-new Optima features a more spacious interior, class-up premium features and a number of technologies not previously offered on Kia's best-selling midsize sedan," said Kia Motors America in a statement.
No further details were provided.
The 2016 Optima will arrive at Kia dealerships later this year.
The Optima has been Kia's No. 1 selling vehicle in the U.S., with buyers attracted to its premium look and affordable base price. The base 2015 Kia Optima LX starts at $22,515, including an $825 destination charge.
