The top-of-the-line 2016 Genesis 5.0 model is priced at $54,800, including shipping, for a price increase of $2,350 compared to the 2015 model.
This is a carryover model with some upgrades. HID headlights and LED daytime running lights are now standard for 2016. Ultra-premium LED foglights are now optional on the 3.8 model.
Genesis 5.0 models are now only available in the fully equipped Ultimate trim designation.
Buyers get their choice of two engines. The base Genesis is equipped with a 311-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 engine linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The up-level Genesis 5.0 gets a 420-hp V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers need to factor in a price increase on the 2016 Genesis, but will get some extras in the bargain.
