2016 Honda Civic Sedan Set for September 16 Unveiling

TORRANCE, California — The wraps will come off the redesigned 2016 Honda Civic sedan on September 16, American Honda Motor Co. confirmed on Tuesday.

The 2016 Civic is expected to arrive at Honda dealerships this fall, following a simultaneous unveiling in Detroit and Los Angeles.

Pricing has not been announced.

Since its launch in 1973, the Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars in the U.S., taking on such rivals as the Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla.

The Civic has a reputation for high quality and reliability, along with good fuel economy.

Details on the 2016 Civic coupe and Si will be released after the sedan?s debut.

Consumers are likely to see more high-end features on the 2016 Civic, including LED exterior lights, Honda?s LaneWatch and Honda Sensing safety features.

Edmunds says: While there are many excellent small cars on the market right now, some car shoppers may want to wait just a few weeks to see what Honda has in store with the redesigned Civic sedan.
