2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty To Feature Optional Strobe Warning LED Lights

DEARBORN, Michigan — The 2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty pickup trucks will feature optional factory-installed strobe warning LED lights priced at $700, Ford announced on Monday.

The 2016 F-Series Super Duty trucks arrive at Ford dealerships this summer.

Ford spokesman Mike Levine said full pricing on the trucks is not available at this time.

The new option is designed for customers such as utility, road construction or municipal crews that require enhanced visibility while working on-site.

The lights are a no-drill option.

They "are not susceptible to corrosion issues that can be a result of poor aftermarket installation," Ford said.

Key competitors to the F-Series Super Duty include the Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD and Ram HD pickup trucks.

Edmunds says: An affordable option that makes the F-Series Super Duty even more of a sensible — and safe — workhorse.
