DETROIT — The 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe full-size SUV starts at $48,195, including a $1,195 destination charge, reflecting a $700 price increase over the 2015 Tahoe, according to the Chevrolet vehicle configurator.

The top-of-the-line 2016 Tahoe LTZ is priced at $62,805, for a $525 price increase over the outgoing model.

On sale now at Chevrolet dealerships, the 2016 Tahoe is a carryover vehicle. It was redesigned for the 2015 model year.

The 2016 Tahoe features a new standard 8-inch color touchscreen radio with OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi.

Enhanced Chevrolet MyLink features Apple CarPlay capability.

New exterior colors include Siren Red Tintcoat and Iridescent Pearl Tricoat.

An enhanced Driver Alert package includes power-adjustable pedals, forward-collision alert, IntelliBeam headlights, lane-keep assist and a Safety Alert Seat.

All models are equipped with a 5.3-liter V8 engine and six-speed automatic transmission.

Key Tahoe competitors include the Ford Expedition, Nissan Armada and Toyota Sequoia.

Edmunds says: SUV buyers will deal with a modest price increase on the 2016 Tahoe.
