2016 Chevrolet Equinox To Debut at 2015 Chicago Auto Show

DETROIT — The updated 2016 Chevrolet Equinox SUV will debut at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show on February 12 and arrive at Chevrolet dealerships later this year.

Chevrolet teased a portion of the 2016 Equinox's front end, hinting that the update will include redesigned headlights and foglights.

Pricing on the 2016 Equinox was not disclosed.

GM reported on Friday that the Equinox had its best January ever, with car shoppers snapping up nearly 20,000 units — a 34 percent increase over year-ago sales.

The Equinox competes in the auto industry's largest segment and targets the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5 and Toyota RAV4.

Edmunds says: With so many car shoppers considering compact SUVs and crossovers, the debut of the 2016 Equinox is shaping up to be one of the most important unveilings at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
