2016 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe and Convertible Roll Out at 2015 Woodward Dream Cruise

DETROIT — The public debut of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro coupe and convertible is set for Saturday's 2015 Woodward Dream Cruise, according to General Motors.

The all-new Camaro was unveiled in May to Camaro club members in a private event on Detroit's Belle Isle. The Dream Cruise debut marks another milestone for the 2016 Camaro before it makes its way to Chevrolet dealerships later this year.

Pricing has not been announced on the 2016 Camaro.

The Camaro will be part of a large Chevrolet display in Birmingham at the Woodward Dream Cruise, which began as a 1995 grass-roots event that has since blossomed into what's billed as "the world's largest one-day car show."

It is expected to draw more than 1 million spectators and around 40,000 classic cars.

Chevrolet will also sponsor the Camaro Corral at the Pleasant Ridge City Hall on Saturday. Up to 150 Camaros owned by Camaro club members will be on display.

Key Camaro competitors include the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger.

The Dream Cruise takes place along a 16-mile stretch on Woodward Avenue through nine host communities including Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge, Pontiac and Royal Oak, in southeast Michigan.

Edmunds says: The public gets a first-hand look at the highly anticipated 2016 Camaro on Saturday, yet another good reason to go dream cruising.
