2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Teased Ahead of June 24 Debut

DETROIT — The next chapter in the Camaro story unfolds on Wednesday when the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible debuts.

A 15-second YouTube video of the highly anticipated drop top gives car shoppers a look at the new Camaro Convertible from the perspective of the driver seat.

"There's only one button between you and the sky," said an accompanying text. "The most innovative Camaro Convertible ever will soon reveal all its secrets. Stay tuned. It all goes down 6/24/15."

A push-button power soft top is one of the few details revealed by the video.

GM has not released pricing or any other details about the Camaro Convertible, which is expected to share the automaker's Alpha platform with the 2016 Camaro coupe.

The Camaro Convertible targets the Ford Mustang Convertible and the Nissan 370Z Roadster.

Edmunds says: It's just a matter of hours before the wraps come off the 2016 Camaro Convertible. Check back here for all the details.
