2016 BMW Individual 7 Series The Next 100 Years Bound for Dealerships Later This Year


WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey — BMW will mark its 100th anniversary this year with a special version of the 2016 BMW 7 Series called the 2016 BMW Individual 7 Series The Next 100 Years sedan. It will arrive at BMW dealerships by the end of 2016.

A BMW spokesman told Edmunds that pricing will be announced closer to the car's launch date.

Just five units are allocated for the U.S. market.

The full formal name of the flagship sedan is the "BMW Individual M760i xDrive Model V12 Excellence The Next 100 Years."

As the name states, it is equipped with a 6.6-liter V12 engine that will produce an estimated 620 horsepower.

Special touches include Centennial Blue metallic exterior paint, 20-inch BMW Individual light-alloy wheels and full Merino leather trim in the cabin.

Buyers will receive a Montblanc fountain pen as part of the purchase.

The BMW 7 Series competes against the Audi A8, Jaguar XJ and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
