2016 Bentley SUV Looks Like a Bentley, According to New Teaser

CREWE, England Bentley has issued a teaser image of the 2016 Bentley SUV, which features a traditional look that takes its cues from the Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur.

Bentley said it expects to sell 3,000 SUVs a year.

Still left unsaid at this point is the name of the Bentley SUV, along with pricing and technical specifications.

The teaser image shows the Bentley SUV's upright grille and round headlights.

"It will be the most luxurious and powerful SUV on the market, setting it apart from any other SUV, true to the brand hallmarks of luxury, performance, quality and craftsmanship," said Bentley in a statement on Wednesday.

The first Bentley SUV will target the Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5 and Range Rover Sport.

This is not the first Bentley SUV teaser. Earlier, the British automaker released a teaser sketch of the car.

The polarizing Bentley EXP 9 F SUV concept debuted at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show.

At the time, Bentley described the SUV concept as a "Grand Touring Bentley" that borrowed styling cues from the Continental and Mulsanne.

Edmunds says: One of the main takeaways from this latest Bentley SUV teaser is that car shoppers still have a long wait before they can get their hands on this ultimate luxury SUV.
