2016 Audi Allroad Earns Five-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government


WASHINGTON — The 2016 Audi Allroad wagon earned the highest five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

On sale now at Audi dealerships, the 2016 Allroad received five stars in the front and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover crash test.

Every 2016 Audi Allroad model includes antilock brakes, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags and side curtain airbags. Rear-seat side airbags are optional on both trim levels. Offered solely on the Premium Plus is a blind-spot warning system, which comes bundled with a rearview camera and parking sensors as part of the Technology package.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2016 Allroad.

Key Allroad competitors include the BMW X1, Subaru Outback and Volvo XC70.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers keeping score should note that the 2016 Subaru Outback wagon also earned the highest five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA. The 2016 BMW X1 and Volvo XC70 have not been rated.
