2016 Acura ILX Priced at $28,820

TORRANCE, California — The upgraded 2016 Acura ILX sedan arrives at Acura dealerships today with a starting price of $28,820, including a $920 destination charge, American Honda Motor Co. said on Tuesday.

The base price reflects an $850 price increase over the 2015 ILX.

The midlevel 2016 ILX with the Premium package starts at $30,820, for a $550 price increase over the comparable 2015 model. The price includes shipping.

A new top-of-the-line 2016 ILX with Tech Plus & A-Spec package starts at $35,810, including shipping. The previous top-of-the-line 2015 ILX starts at $30,270, including shipping.

All 2016 ILX models feature a 201-horsepower 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.

On the outside, the ILX gets a mild face-lift with a new grille, front and rear fascias, LED headlights and taillights. The cabin gets improved materials and an optional secondary infotainment screen.

Key ILX rivals include the Audi A3, Buick Verano and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class.

Edmunds says: It's time to head to your Acura showroom to check out this improved version of the 2016 ILX.
