2016 Acura ILX Arrives at Dealerships on February 10

MARYSVILLE, Ohio — The upgraded 2016 Acura ILX sedan arrives at Acura dealerships on February 10, American Honda Motor Co. confirmed for Edmunds on Tuesday.

The first new 2016 ILX has rolled off the assembly line at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio, marking not just the launch of the Honda Civic sibling but also a manufacturing milestone for the company. The Acura brand is celebrating sales in the U.S. of the 2 millionth North American-made Acura vehicle, 20 years after Acura production began in the U.S.

Pricing on the 2016 ILX will be announced later, said Honda spokeswoman Jessica Fini in response to a query.

All 2016 ILX models feature a 201-horsepower 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.

On the outside, the ILX gets a mild face-lift with a new grille, front and rear fascias, headlights and taillights. The cabin gets improved materials and an optional secondary infotainment screen.

Key competitors to the ILX include the Audi A3, Buick Verano and the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers in this popular category will soon be able to get up-close-and-personal with the 2016 Acura ILX at their local Acura showroom.
