WASHINGTON — General Motors is recalling 4,558 2016-'17 Buick Envision SUVs because the tire and loading information label might display the incorrect maximum weight information, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
"Incorrect weight information may cause an owner to overload the vehicle," the NHTSA said in its recall summary. "Overloading may reduce vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash."
A GM spokesman did not respond immediately to a query from Edmunds asking if any injuries or accidents are linked to the recall.
The affected Envisions were built from February 4, 2016, to April 25, 2016.
Edmunds says: Envision owners will want to check in with their dealer for this quick fix once they receive their official recall notice.
