Pricing has not been announced. The 2014 Volkswagen Touareg starts at $44,905, including a $910 destination charge.
The 2015 Touareg gets revised front- and rear-end styling, with upgrades to its interior and equipment.
The new face includes larger headlamps, plus revised grille and bumper. Bi-xenon headlamps are standard on all versions.
VW said interior trim and controls have been updated on the Touareg, which will offer new colors and wheels, as well as a new R-Line package. The R-Line will be offered in the U.S., said Mark Gillies, a Volkswagen of America spokesman, in response to an Edmunds query.
In the U.S., the 2015 Touareg will come with a choice of three engines: a 276-horsepower gasoline V6, a 236-hp TDI V6 and a 374-hp gasoline-electric hybrid.
Edmunds says: VW sees little need to dramatically overhaul a proven design.
