2015 Toyota Avalon Earns Five-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government


WASHINGTON — The 2015 Toyota Avalon full-size sedan earned the top five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Avalon received four stars in the front crash test, five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the rollover crash test.

The 2015 Avalon is on sale now at Toyota dealerships.

Standard safety equipment on the 2015 Avalon includes 10 airbags, stability control, traction control and anti-lock brakes. A blind-spot monitor and pre-collision system are optional.

The 2015 Avalon received "good" ratings in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash tests and is a 2015 Top Safety Pick.

Key Avalon competitors include the Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet Impala and Kia Cadenza.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should note that the 2015 Buick LaCrosse and 2015 Chevrolet Impala also earned the top five-star safety rating from NHTSA. The 2015 Kia Cadenza has not been rated.
