2015 Subaru Impreza Earns Five-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government


WASHINGTON — The 2015 Subaru Impreza sedan and hatchback earned the top five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The 2015 Impreza received four stars in the front crash test, five stars in the side crash test and five stars in the rollover crash test.

The Impreza is on sale now at Subaru dealerships.

Standard safety equipment on the Impreza includes seven airbags, including a driver's knee airbag, along with antilock brakes with brake assist. A rearview camera is now standard across the line.

Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist technology is optional on the 2015 Impreza.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2015 Impreza.

Key competitors to the Impreza include the Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus, Honda Civic and Mazda 3.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should note that the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, Civic and Mazda 3 sedans also earned the top five-star safety rating from NHTSA. The 2015 Ford Focus has not been rated.
