WARREN, Michigan Chrysler is increasing production of the 2015 Ram 1500 pickup truck to keep up with customer demand, the automaker said on Thursday.

Chrysler's Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Michigan will be building an average of an additional 100 vehicles a day or 28,565 more trucks a year.

The Ram 1500 is on a 52-month "sales streak," Chrysler said.

Pricing on the 2015 Ram 1500 starts at $25,165, including a $1,195 destination charge. The 2015 Ram 1500 will begin rolling into dealerships in late October.

Key competitors to the Ram 1500 include the Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150, Nissan Titan and Toyota Tundra.

Edmunds says: Truck shoppers should have no problem getting their hands on the 2015 Ram 1500, thanks to a production boost.
