WASHINGTON The 2015 Nissan Versa Sedan earned a four-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Five stars is the highest rating.

The Versa earned three stars in the front crash test and four stars in the side and rollover crash tests.

The 2015 Nissan Versa Note Hatchback earned a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2015 Versa or Versa Note.

The 2015 Versa is on sale now at Nissan dealerships.

Standard safety equipment on the 2015 Versa includes six airbags, antilock brakes, traction control, vehicle dynamic control and brake assist.

Key competitors to the Versa and Versa Note include the Chevrolet Sonic, Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit and Hyundai Accent.
