FRANKLIN, Tennessee The 2015 Nissan Pathfinder SUV starts at $30,395, including an $885 destination charge, reflecting a $325 price increase over the 2014 model.

The top-of-the-line 2015 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum four-wheel-drive model starts at $43,985, including shipping, reflecting a $1,575 price increase over the 2014 model.

The 2015 Pathfinder Platinum two-wheel-drive model starts at $42,295, including shipping, reflecting a $1,485 price increase over the 2014 model.

The 2015 Pathfinder is on sale now at Nissan dealerships.

Nissan has not posted pricing on the 2015 Pathfinder Hybrid. A Nissan spokesman did not respond immediately to an Edmunds query asking about the Pathfinder Hybrid.

The Pathfinder was redesigned two years ago. All models are equipped with a 260-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine.

Changes for the new model year include Hill Descent Control added to four-wheel-drive Pathfinders and a standard dual panorama moonroof added to Platinum trim levels.

New exterior colors include Java Metallic, Midnight Jade, Gun Metallic, Magnetic Black, Glacier White and Pearl White.

The Pathfinder competes with the Chevrolet Traverse, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should be aware of the stair-step price increases on the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder.
