NASHVILLE, Tennessee The new 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is the most expensive GT-R in the lineup, with a $151,585 price tag.

The GT-R Nismo will arrive at dealerships on July 31. The 600-horsepower model is called the "ultimate iteration" of the supercar.

The new GT-R Nismo features a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine with an increase of 55 hp over the standard model. It also gets enhanced aerodynamics, body reinforcement and unique Nismo tuning. The cabin is equipped with Recaro seats and an 11-speaker Bose sound system.

It is $48,220 more expensive than the base 2015 Nissan GT-R Premium, which starts at $103,365, including shipping. Nissan announced base GT-R pricing in January.

Competitors to the Nismo GT-R include the BMW M3, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Porsche 911.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should be aware that the GT-R Nismo is more expensive than the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo, with its starting price of $149,295, including a $995 destination charge.
