NEW YORK — The 2015 McLaren 650S Coupe, the latest addition to the McLaren lineup, starts at $269,200, including a $3,700 destination charge, according to the automaker.

Allyson Molina, a McLaren spokeswoman, told Edmunds "the car does not have a gas-guzzler tax due to efficiency." The EPA has not posted fuel economy numbers for the McLaren 650S.
Standard equipment includes carbon ceramic brakes, Sirius Satellite radio and unique "650" lightweight alloy wheels.
The McLaren 650S is on sale now in the U.S. at 13 dealerships, including McLaren Atlanta, McLaren Scottsdale and McLaren Washington D.C.
The 650S competes with the Lamborghini Aventador and Ferrari 458 Italia.
The latest McLaren supercar made its formal debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show.
It will make its U.S. debut at what the company calls an "offsite" location during the 2014 New York Auto Show this month.
The 650S badge designation refers to the output of the car's twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 engine. That is 650 PS as calculated using the German measurement for horsepower, which translates to 641 horsepower here.
