2015 Infiniti Q70 Earns Five-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government

WASHINGTON — The 2015 Infiniti Q70 full-size luxury sedan earned the top five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Infiniti's Q70 earned four stars in the front crashworthiness test, five stars in the side crashworthiness test and four stars in the rollover crashworthiness test.

The rating applies to rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions of the Q70 and the 2015 Q70 Hybrid. They are on sale now at Infiniti dealerships.

The 2015 Q70 models equipped with forward emergency braking earned the 2015 Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Forward emergency braking warns the driver of potential collisions with the vehicle in front of them and applies partial braking to avoid a crash.

The Q70 earned "good" scores in all of the Institute's crash tests.

Standard safety equipment on the Q70 includes six airbags, electronic stability control and antilock brakes. Optional safety equipment includes lane-departure warning and blind-spot warning.

Key competitors to the Q70 include the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedans.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should note that the 2015 Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedans earned the top five-star safety rating from NHTSA.
