Hyundai will air two 30-second spots during the game, marking the company's seventh straight Super Bowl appearance.
Hyundai confirmed its Super Bowl plans on Monday.
Hyundai said the first spot, titled "Dad's Sixth Sense," will air during the first quarter of the game. It dramatizes the "near-misses and saves of everyday parenting" and is intended to show off the redesigned Genesis.
The second ad, "Nice," which will air in the fourth quarter, features a young comedic talent (as-yet unnamed) in an "escalating game of compliments" between two identical Elantras.
Although the cost of Hyundai's ads has not been released, industry site AdAge.com said media buyers are estimating that Fox Sports, which will broadcast the game, is averaging $4 million for a 30-second spot, up from $3.8 million for the 2013 Super Bowl.
The Super Bowl broadcast, which reached 111.3 million viewers last February, has traditionally been a favorite promotional event for car manufacturers. In addition to Hyundai, automakers scheduled to advertise during the 2014 show include Audi, Chevy, Kia and Jaguar.
