2015 GMC Canyon Nightfall Edition Bound for Dealerships This Spring

DETROIT — Jumping on the trend for blacked-out trucks, GMC will debut the 2015 GMC Canyon Nightfall Edition this spring.

Pricing will be announced closer to the special model's rollout at GMC dealerships in the second quarter, GMC spokesman Brian Goebel told Edmunds.

GMC is taking a page from the playbook of Ram, which said it has had an "overwhelming response" to menacingly black special models including the 2013 Ram 1500 Black Express package and the 2014 Ram Heavy Duty Black package.

The Canyon Nightfall Edition, featuring an Onyx Black exterior paint treatment, will be offered on SLE crew cab models in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.

Details include a unique black grille, black assist steps, factory spray-in bedliner, 18-inch multi-spoke aluminum wheels with painted inserts, polished exhaust tip, automatic climate control and remote start.

Key rivals to the GMC Canyon include the Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma.

Edmunds says: This is a great way to personalize your 2015 GMC Canyon for what should be a reasonable sum.
