Galpin Auto Sports and Henrik Fisker announced the start of "low-volume production" of the 725-horsepower Mustang and rolled out the first production model on Saturday at the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.
The prototype was unveiled at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The car has been dubbed the "Ultimate American Muscle Car" by its makers.
Galpin's Rocket supercar gets a carbon-fiber body with sculpted fender flares and an integrated rear spoiler, along with a supercharged 5.0-liter Ford V8 engine.
Galpin President Beau Boeckmann said the Rocket Mustang is "literally the most beautiful Mustang I have ever seen."
Edmunds says: Expect this beauty to sell out quickly.
