DEARBORN, Michigan Ford has released official horsepower and towing numbers on the two new engines in the 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck lineup.

The fully redesigned F-150 arrives at U.S. dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2014. Pricing has not been announced.

Standard equipment in the 2015 F-150, the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 engine delivers 283 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque.

In comparison, the standard 3.7-liter V6 engine in the 2014 Ford F-150 delivers 302 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the 2014 F-150 delivers 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque.

The new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine with standard automatic stop-start delivers 325 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque.

Ford did not provide fuel economy estimates on the engines. The EPA has not posted any information about them either.

The automaker did not provide performance numbers for the other two engines in the 2015 F-150 lineup. They are a 5.0-liter V8 and a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6.

The 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine has a towing capability of up to 8,500 pounds, according to Ford. The standard 3.5-liter V6 engine has a towing capability of up to 7,600 pounds.

Weight-saving aluminum helped the 2015 F-150 shed up to 700 pounds.

Key competitors to the 2015 F-150 include the 2015 Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Silverado and Ram 1500.

Edmunds says: Judging by the numbers, the radical 2015 Ford F-150 will shake up this popular segment.
